Planning your child’s next birthday party? A stuffed animal party is a fantastic, hands-on experience that will create lasting memories for your child and their friends. With fun activities, adorable new furry friends to take home, and creative themes, a stuffed animal party will surely be a hit!

Here are some tips to ensure your event is unforgettable.

Have Enough Stuffable Animals for Everyone

Ensure every guest can participate in the fun by having extra stuffable animal kits on hand. Preparing for surprises is always a good idea—whether a sibling joins in, or someone forgets to RSVP. Having a few extra animals ensures no one feels left out, and you’ll be ready for unexpected mishaps.

Offer a Variety of Animals to Choose From

Every child has their own unique personality, so providing a range of stuffable animals allows them to express their individuality. From cuddly bears to magical unicorns, having various options ensures everyone finds a friend they love.

Offering themed animals, such as jungle animals, farm friends, or mystical creatures, can also tie into your party theme and make the event even more special!

Play Stuffed Animal-Inspired Games

Keep the fun going after the animals are stuffed by incorporating games and activities that include their new furry friends! Here are some ideas:

  • Stuffed Animal Fashion Show: Have the kids dress up their animals with outfits and accessories and parade them down an imaginary runway.
  • Animal Adoption Certificates: Let the kids fill out “adoption papers” and name their new friends.
  • Stuffed Animal Hide and Seek: Hide the animals around the party area and let the kids search for them.
  • Storytime With Stuffed Animals: Gather the kids for a cozy story featuring animals that match the party theme.

Add Custom T-Shirts for a Special Touch

Make the party even more memorable with custom T-shirts for the stuffable animals. Whether you design shirts with the party theme or let kids decorate their own, this extra touch will make their new friends even more special. Plus, custom T-shirts double as a unique party favor that guests can treasure long after the celebration ends.

Don’t Forget to Have Fun!

While getting caught up in planning is easy, remember that the best parties are filled with joy and laughter. Take time to enjoy the special moments—watching the kids light up as they create their new friends and share in the excitement together.

Theme Ideas for a Stuffed Animal Birthday Party

cake with animals on it for child's birthday party

When you’re planning a stuffed animal-themed party, you have a few options for your setting. Some parents opt for one animal choice, to avoid fighting over specific animals, while others prefer offering an array of options to the kids. If you wanted to go for a particular theme, then you could choose a few options that relate to it. Alternatively, if you want to keep it generic, you could offer a wide variety of animal styles.

Farm Animal Theme

If you have a myriad of animals, you can go with an overall farm animal theme. This is probably the easier option, as it gives you more options for party favors, snacks, and games. Go with the color red, it’s often associated with barns. Give the setting a farm feel with cornstalks and hay bales.

Zoo Animal Theme

Another theme you can use if you want to have multiple types of stuffed animals are zoo animals. If your kids love exotic animals, this is definitely the way to go.

One Animal Theme

If you want to go the other way, and keep everything the same, choose an animal that you can work with.  For example, if you offer one choice, opt for a bear. Your child could have almost any theme decorations, and a stuffed bear section would make sense; it is versatile.

Dinosaur Theme

Does your child love the prehistoric era? Then go with a dinosaur theme! This is a nice compromise between having various stuffed animals or having just one. Kids will all get a dinosaur, but they’ll still be able to pick out their favorite one.

Once you’ve picked out the perfect theme for your stuffed animal birthday parties, it’s time to get the stuffed animals! At The Zoo Factory, we offer many party packs for you to choose from that are sure to delight guests of all ages!

5 Ideas for a Great Stuffed Animal Birthday Party

birthday party with stuffed animals

All children loved stuffed animals, and all adults have had one when they were kids. We can all relate to the comfort and even support these animals gave us. So having a themed birthday party around the idea of stuffed animals is a great way to celebrate.

Ask Each Child To Bring Their Favorite Stuffed Animal

On your party invitations, invite your guests to choose their favorite stuffed animal to come with them. This gives each child  a sense of participation even before the party.

Make Name Tags

When your guests arrive, sit them all down in a circle and ask each child to introduce his or her stuffed animal. Then get the kids to make name tags to tie around the animal’s neck with a ribbon. You can get tags and different colored ribbons at a craft store, and give the kids crayons or fine-tipped Sharpies to decorate the tags and write their animal’s name.

Animal Coloring Books

Get some animal-themed coloring books and let each child choose an animal to color. This encourages the kids to explore their creativity, and when they are all finished, let each child talk about his coloring project.

Pin The Tail On The…

Make the shape of the birthday child’s favorite stuffed animal on some construction paper, and have the children play Pin the Tail on the Donkey. You can give the winner of the game a tiny stuffed animal as a prize.

Animal Birthday Cake

You can either make a birthday cake in the shape of an animal or buy one and place tiny plastic animals on it. After the cake eating, let each child choose one of the little animals.

How to Throw a “Make Your Own Stuffed Animal” Party Over Zoom

How to Throw a "Make Your Own Stuffed Animal" Party Over Zoom

Social distancing is here to stay, and for the spring and summer birthday kids out there, this can be a real bummer. While we can’t host in-person parties anymore, we can host virtual parties over Zoom. Throwing a virtual birthday party can be just as fun as a normal birthday party as long as you get enough activities to keep your guests occupied.

One activity that many parents are turning to for their children’s zoom parties is making your own stuffed animals. Here’s how you can get started:

Keep the guest list smaller

Technically, you can have hundreds of people join a Zoom conversation, but if you want everyone to stay involved, it’s best to cap your guest list at 10 people. This is because on a video chat, you can’t turn to the person next to you and have a side conversation. By keeping the guest list smaller, however, you can ensure that everyone can take part in the conversation and that things don’t get too rowdy.

Have the guests pick out their favorite animals

Once you have a guest list, send out a quick email or text message asking everyone to pick out their favorite animal from our website. If you’re wanting to order one of our party packs, then have your guests vote on which packs they’d prefer.

Send the stuffable animal kits out a few weeks in advance

Be sure to order and ship the kits at least a few weeks ahead of time so that there’s plenty of time for the kits to reach their final destination. It typically takes about a week for our stuffable animal kits to be delivered, but there have been shipping delays due to the coronavirus.

Send instructions and a calendar invite

Don’t assume that every parent is tech-savvy. Instead, have a detailed set of instructions for what your guests need to do in order to access the Zoom party (Zoom has a help center that you can go to as well). At the same time, send them an invite through Outlook, Google Calendars, or other platforms so that they’re reminded of the party ahead of time.

We may have to stay socially distant, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still have fun. If you’re planning on throwing a “make your own stuffed animal” party, then take a look at some of our party kits or contact us here at The Zoo Factory with any questions you may have!

Fun Games Kids Can Play with their Stuffed Animals

Kids playing with Doll House and Stuffed animal

A stuffed animal is great for many things—sleeping, traveling, companionship, and, of course, playing. Whether it’s for a party or a typical Sunday afternoon, here are some games your child can play with their beloved stuffed animal:

Animal Hospital

Grab a toy doctor kit and let your child try on the stethoscope for a change with a game of animal hospital. Throw in some real-life medical supplies like bandages or band-aids to give it a realistic feel. Or, if you don’t want to waste medical supplies, you can always use toilet paper in lieu of bandages.

Teddy Bear Picnic

It doesn’t just have to be teddy bears, of course, but hosting a picnic for your stuffed animals is always tons of fun. Make a day of it by inviting other children and their stuffed animals, and be sure to have plenty of treats to go around. You can also bring books, frisbees, or other activities along, too.

Animal Fashion Show

If your child’s stuffed animal has lots of outfits, then encourage them to get on the runway with an animal fashion show. Invite friends so that their stuffed animals can join in and then award prizes for things like cutest, funniest, silliest, etc.

Hide and seek

Grab all of your stuffed animals and sit your child down. Tell them to cover their eyes and count to 100 as you hide each stuffed animal somewhere in the house. Then let your child go and find them—and make sure there’s an award at the end of it!

As fun as all of these games can be, they can’t be done without a trusty stuffed animal sidekick. So if your child is in need of a stuffed animal of their own, then check out The Zoo Factory. We have plenty of stuffable animals to choose from, as well as tons of outfits if you want your stuffed animal to get in on an animal fashion show!

Cool Extras To Use At Your Child’s Next Stuffed Animal Birthday Party

Parents are always looking for a way to make their child’s birthday party memorable. Whether it is special decorations, a character themed party, awesome games, and prizes, parents of little ones want their child’s day to be significant in every way possible.

As we scour through dozens of Pinterest pages, get tips from friends and family and even take notes from the things our little ones say, we still may come up short on an idea.

So what is a parent to do?  Cool Extras To Use At Your Child's Next Stuffed Animal Birthday Party

An ideal birthday party activity is one that can be done with the group and can be a great “thank you” gift for attending. We are not talking about the traditional goody bags filled with candy and fun little trinkets. We are talking about putting together stuffed animals.

Stuffed animals are and will always remain a favorite among little children. At your child’s birthday party, why not allow all of the kids to stuff their own friend. This is not only fun but memorable for all involved.

Probably one of the coolest parts of stuffing animals at the birthday party is not just the actual stuffing; it’s the creativeness that is put into making the friend unique. You can allow the kids to use their imaginations and draw whatever they want on their animals. Maybe the birthday girl or boy would like all of their friends to sign their animal? Or they can draw pictures of their favorite things like sunshine, rainbows, flowers, and animals.

In addition to fabric markers, we also carry home carry boxes which look like a little house for the stuffed animal and also wishing stars where the children can make a wish upon the star and then place the star in the animal before it closes.

At The Zoo Factory, we have all of the above-mentioned accessories to help make the birthday party stuffed friends personal. For more information or questions on the products we offer, contact us today!

Pledge Time Fun With Stuffed Animals

The school year is at a close for many college campuses but that doesn’t mean the planning cant being for the next year. Many sororities and fraternities are planning for the next pledge year and coming up with ideas to help their small family become one. Before pledges decide on a particular Greek house, they will want to see what each sorority or fraternity has to offer.

This could be a very important time to show possible pledges how things are done in your organization, debunking the stereotypes that might come with Greek houses.

Bonding experiences are the best way to get a group of diverse individuals together. Having a pet (like a dog or cat) is a great way to integrate people of different cultures or backgrounds but some may be allergic, and let’s be honest, college student life is not always the most ideal situation for an animal.

To make them feel at home during this process have an open night for girls or guys to visit. While there offer food and drink, and entertainment.

An interesting way is to utilize the building of stuffed animals to bring people in and see what Greek life is about. Opt for a social party, with the stuffed animal making process as part of the night’s activities. This will allow each individual interested to show off their creative side and ultimately show school spirit. This can include food and fun. If possible choose your school’s mascot and you can all have your own piece of the college incorporated with the Greek life.

The Zoo Factory has a wide variety and selection of animal kits for a party like this or any type of entertainment function you can think of. Contact us about pricing or to put in your order today.

Giving Your Child “The Best Birthday Ever”

kids party ideas

Birthdays only come once a year, which feels like a decade to children. Each and every birthday should be celebrated to the full extent and treated like a once in a lifetime day, (except once a year)! When your children are young, their birthdays should be even more exciting. You are not only celebrating the day they were born, you are celebrating the 9 months that lead up to your miracle coming into the world, and because of their bad days you are celebrating not sending them away to military school. Make sure you celebrate the whole day and not just at the party, there are fun and inexpensive ways to make sure your little guy or girl feels special all day long, below are some of our favorite to keep the excitement going all day.

Balloon wall- after your child goes to sleep tape crepe paper to the door frame and fill it in with balloons. When your child wakes up and opens their door they will be greeted with a balloon wall!
Pancake…cake? – it already has cake in the name so why not use it to start the day?! Make a short stack and top it with a birthday candle, who says you only get to sing happy birthday once?
Lunch surprise- pack their favorite lunch with a special birthday note, don’t stop there wrap each part of the lunch like tiny little presents, unwrapping presents is one of the best parts to a birthday.
Decorate your vehicle- use washable window paint to let all the other drivers on the road know you have the birthday kid on board!
Pets can get in on the fun- if you have pet that would cooperate make a birthday hat for them to join on the fun

The Zoo Party: A Fun Recap from a Fun Mom

pig farm stuffable animal for birthday partyToday’s guest post is brought to you by  fun-loving, mom-of-the-year, Dana!  Dana is always throwing great parties for her daughter, and she decided to share her awesome Zoo Party Recap with us! Share your thoughts with us in the comment’s section below!

I tend to go a little overboard for birthday parties for my daughter. When I say “little” I mean every thing MUST match the theme that I started preparing the day after her last birthday.
This year’s theme was “The Zoo”. I was on top of these preparations like a boy scout looking to get the next merit badge. Don’t doubt it, this was the checklist:

  • Venue – Local zoo party room booked well over a month in advance.
  • Zoo Cake – Another thing ordered well in advance with matching zoo theme.
  • Invitations and Thank You cards – Monkeys included for a “wild time”
  • Food – Fruit and Veggie trays made to look like a forest with lion and tiger. (The zoo provided pizza with the party automatically, which was a nice bonus.)
  • Plates and Cutlery – Animal face plates with color matching plastic ware.
  • Activity for kids / party favors – A menagerie of animals from The Zoo Factory.

The children in the party ranged from 3-11.  The highlight of the party for everyone was stuffing The Zoo Factory animals.  The younger children had to have their parents help with the stuffing but that made the activity even more fun for them.  I was worried that a couple of older kids in the party might not enjoy the party favors as much but that wasn’t the case.  They had just as much fun stuffing and playing with them as the younger kids.

In the end due to my obsessive planning everything turned out perfectly. I even received a compliment from one of the parents that I should become an event planner because everything was so wonderful.
In case you are wondering next year theme will be “Bubbles at the Science museum”.
